My name is Ashley Moore and I’m an artist. Why is that relevant? Well, for the purposes of this blog and project, it’s not. While most people go to great efforts to tell you how qualified they are in a  certain area in order to gain your respect and trust I think it’s imperative for people to know that as of January 2nd 2016, I am in no way educated in Waste Management, Environmental Science or Air Quality Control. I don’t even know how a recycling plant works.

I’m starting this project out of an intense desire to first educate myself on these and related topics as well as to implement that knowledge in hopes of helping others, specifically the country of India.

Why India?

I visited for the first time in February 2015 and it was a lightning fast, 9 day whirlwind trip around the North. It was amazing in so many  ways and heartbreaking too.

This blog will go into further detail about my motivations as I document my research, in as much depth as possible. The ultimate goal will be to take my knowledge with me to India within 2 years and attempt to make a difference in the lives of as many people as I can.
